Holidays in Jaipur

I always had a desire to see the royal vintage of Rajputs of India and fortunately, I got the chance last month, when I visited Jaipur for an official seminar. Jaipur, the breathtaking pink city, reminds you of the imperial era. Colonial buildings, monuments, tinted mosques and several other historical palaces make your holidays in Jaipur worth.

After the seminar, I went out to see this mystic city. Sunheri Kothi was the first monument I saw. One shouldn’t miss to see the mirror work carved in this Golden Mansion. Next day, I got a chance to see twinkling Sanganer, from where I bought block printed textiles and the blue pottery for my friends. Various temples and an historic palace are the other places to visit in Sanganer during your holidays in Jaipur.

I visited Gaitor palace too, which is famous for its numerous chhatris or cenotaphs of the erstwhile rulers of Jaipur.

There are several other places around the Jaipur city, like Ramgarh, Abhaneri, Balaji, and Karauli which you can include in your itinerary during your holidays in Jaipur.
