I was seven, when I visited Hyderabad for the first time. Faded memories of the city were retained in some corner of the heart and mind. But, last month I got another chance to tour Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh for some official training. The day I landed in the city, I could sense the richness of the land. The opulent Nizams of ‘The City of Pearls’, have beautifully designed this majestic city. The Charminar, The Golconda Fort, Qutb Shahi Tombs, Mecca Masjid and several other impressive minarets testify the architectural brilliance of the knowledged designers of the past.
With the technological progress, today Hyderabad is counted among of the top IT cities of the country. Most of the leading worldwide brands have their set up in the city. The city has astonishingly blended the old dominion and rustic charisma in the new age of technologies.
My trip to Hyderabad was an unforgettable one. I also did lot of shopping there. I bought several pure pearls accessories, handicrafts and traditional footwear.
Rich in name and culture, Hyderabad is worth visiting.
